Moseley and District become Dragons to help young people’s project
A group of participants from The Challenge, a physical, social and civic summer programme for young people, have recently visited the Moseley and District offices to practise their presentation skills to a tough group of dragons.
The group’s project, called ‘I ♥ Myself,’ aimed to tackle issues of teenage insecurities. The project idea was pitched to a group of Moseley and District staff who acted as a panel of dragons in a format similar to that of the hit BBC One programme, Dragons’ Den.
The ‘dragons’ then gave feedback to allow the Group to improve before their final project pitch to a group of local business people.
The participants have spent three weeks with the Challenge, which is designed to inspire young people from diverse backgrounds to come together and make a positive difference in their community. Physical, social and civic challenges help participants to design and deliver a project that will make a difference.
